Washington D.C. 2008

Our 8th graders have joined with the Lapeer Community Schools in May for the last few years for a trip to Washington D.C. Though this year was a very wet trip, the students were able to enjoy many sites including visits to the Washington Monument, the Pentagon and the National Archives where they viewed the Presidential Report Cards. They also went to the FDR Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial and the WWII Memorial. In addition they visited Arlington National Cemetery and the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception where they attended Mass. For many, this will be an experience they will reflect upon for years to come.
